This project is situated in Willow Vale, set in the hillsides surrounding Gerringong on the NSW South Coast. The project scope focused on incorporating a swimming pool with outdoor entertaining space into the existing landscape without it being too formal and overpowering.

The overall concept was to create a simple yet elegant space that uses the surrounding hillside and borrowed views as a feature. The surrounding rustic charm of the area has been enhanced by using large field stone boulders from the pool excavation for the retaining walls, railway sleepers for the stairs and rough sawn hardwood with steel mesh for the pool fencing. Using these elements allows the space to sit comfortably in the surrounding landscape with minimal impact.
